All panels are inspected and approved and weather resistant. These cabinets are standard for all models and ensure that internal components are protected from dust and moisture. Each panel includes: 30-amp main power disconnect switch, emergency stop button, heater with thermostat, ventilation, and 230/12v transformer. Standard features also include: Forward and Reverse directions, manual and automatic operation, digital display with easy-to-understand commands, load and unload function. Heavy-duty electric fencer, slip ring, and mounting accessories are included (for added safety and fencer longevity only 12 volts DC is used to power the unit).

OPTIONAL: PROGRAMMED CONTROL PANEL WITH TOUCH SCREEN

The 2 HP/230v helical parallel gear motor unit with heavy-duty bearing is a “wash down” or sealed unit to withstand the harshest elements. This AC motor complies with NEMA standard MG1 and is whisper quiet. The unit uses a pre-stretched hardened chain drive for better torque. The gear box contains high grade synthetic oil for superior operation in all climates (±40ºC).

Advanced Bearing Technology
Our main bearing is machined from cast steel NOT roll formed increasing longevity and reliability. Neoprene grease seals ensure the bearing remains well lubricated and prevents entry of dust, water, and dirt. Manufacturer’s theoretical life span under full load and maximum speed is well over 50 years. Maximum thrust capacity is rated at 110,000 lbs.

The entire Odyssey framework is constructed from structural steel. The gauge of steel used is directly related to the function of each component in the machine. Once the components are cut to size they are welded. Following inspection the whole machine is hot dip galvanized for added durability and rust resistance.

All Odyssey Performance Trainers come equipped with extra wide 7’ 6” round corner welded wire gates and rubber guard strips for added safety. Gate sides are rigid, preventing twisting during operation. In addition, gates are attached to an adjustable main arm with resilient polymer hinges allowing them to swing freely.

The optional sprinkler system sprays from the bottomr of the gate and greatly aids in the reduction of dust while horses exercise.

The electrical fencer unit that supplies the currant to the gates is mounted on the center support post. The gates are electrified to aid in the training of the horses and increase the safety aspect of the machine.
