Flooring Box Stalls Stable Comfort Mattress System

Stable Comfort Mattress System – the Ultimate in Stall Flooring

Invented over 10 years ago and installed in horse stables around the globe, Stable Comfort reproduces the characteristics of a natural pasture. On this wall-to-wall water-proof system, horses have the confidence to walk, rise, and lay down without fear of slipping. While standing, this system provides a supportive, even surface, aiding in injury rehabilitation and loosening of stiff joints.

Stable Comfort is not only ergonomic, efficient and economical, but environmentally friendly. By removal of bacteria-causing waste from the stall, ammonia levels are significantly reduced. Muck-out is greatly reduced due to the element of comfort being built in to the system. This system will pay for itself by reducing bedding, labor and maintenance costs.

Stable Comfort: How Does It Work?

Stable Comfort is comprised of two components; the first is a multi-celled mattress filled with uniform sized rubber crumb material. These rubber crumbs provide the mattress with a very high level of comfort and shock absorbency.

The second component is the top cover, made of an industrial strength geo-textile impregnated with a vulcanized rubber compound that not only makes it virtually indestructible but makes it a water-proof, non-draining system. The one piece top cover is fastened to the stall wall using plastic fastening strips and screws. This ensures no bedding or waste gets underneath the system.

Benefits

Ultimate Comfort: Stable Comfort provides unsurpassed comfort through a resilient stall surface that mimics natural turf. Horses on Stable Comfort are encouraged to lie down and to rest more often and for longer periods of time. While standing this system provides a supportive, even surface. Stable Comfort provides insulation from the cold and a barrier against dampness from concrete floors. The equine performance industry reports less leg fatigue and a reduction in tissue fluid accumulation with the Stable Comfort system.

Non-slip- Stable Comfort provides a non-slip surface, enabling safer and easier movement.

Air Quality: Stable Comfort is equivalent to a minimum of 4” of bedding. Research from the Equine Research Centre in Guelph, Ontario has found that using a fraction of the bedding with the stable Comfort system improves stable air quality without sacrificing horse comfort. Less bedding means less dust.

Joints and Sores: Stable Comfort is designed with a horse-friendly surface. The incidence of hock sores are drastically reduced and even completely eliminated with the use of the Stable Comfort system. The supportive yet forgiving characteristics of Stable Comfort have produced proven results in animals with joint problems.

Foaling: Stable Comfort provides an excellent environment for foaling; great footing and comfort for the active new-born and easy clean-up when the foaling is over.

Labor: Cut muck out time in half. Less bedding means less work and lower cost. The wall-to-wall installation means dirty bedding stays on top where it can be easily removed and stable Comfort can reduce your manure pile by up to 65% putting more money in your pocket.

Stall Maintenance: Because Stable Comfort covers the entire floor, horses are unable to dig, drastically reducing stall maintenance.
